Metal Mesh Gloves
Our Metal Mesh gloves feature a unique, steel tension spring-system or (STS). STS is a self-adjusting wrist fastening system. Flexible and comfortable, STS allows for an improved, relaxed fit with no straps or buckles to fasten. This will result in the ease of donning and doffing faster. The metal mesh rings are entirely sealed with a microplasma weld to ensure durability resulting in a longer wear life before repairs are needed. Mesh gloves can easily be repaired using a specialized mesh repair center. The microplasma welded rings have no gaps to trap soil that can feed bacterial growth. Washing metal mesh gloves can easily be done using a mesh tumbler, by hand or using a light spray hose to clean off particles such as food or fat.
Knit Gloves
Knit cut resistant gloves can vary from one glove to another. Most employees are looking for protection from the cuts and lacerations while expecting comfort to wear the glove all day. The makeup of the glove has two key areas; yarn materials and gauge. Glove gauges offering for knit gloves include 7, 10, 13, 15, 18. Gloves that are seven gauge are typically bulkier than the 18 gauge. The materials that are designed in knit cut resistant gloves can vary from thinner finer materials to heavy stronger materials. Today’s yarn and material advancements have changed over the years and continue to evolve to finer materials that are stronger. Knit cut resistant gloves can offer longer cuffs or provide arm protection built into the glove. The all in one glove and arm protection is great to ensure employee safety.
Palm Coated Cut Resistant Gloves
Our line of gloves that offer protection in the palm includes full coated palms, leather, puncture or a unique coated design. A glove starts with a knitted cut resistant shell, an added material can be applied using sewing techniques or automation to apply coated materials. Adding cut resistant leather palms or puncture material to a shell can easily be applied to a glove using a sewing machine, using durable unique blend materials to secure the leather palm to the knit glove. Coated gloves use multiple chemicals blends and are often applied using an automated line. Wells Lamont offers a unique green pattern design made of polyurethane that will allow the hand to breathe through the glove shell. If you have a wet working environment, a fully coated glove protects most of the hand from moisture. Coating coverage in the areas of the hand can vary. Coated gloves offer various levels of wet or liquid protection: fully coated for the entire hand, coating coverage on the back of hand above the knuckle protection (3/4 dip)and palm area, the most common coverage is the palm and partial fingers. Any material or coating added to a knit shell can provide wet protection, better grip and even added puncture resistance. Flextech palm coated gloves offer the protection needed for the job.
